No Snow Day
You could almost hear the sighs all over Moville and the area this morning as they got up to find that no text messages had been sent out to say school was cancelled for the day.
The snow lay on the ground even close to town. It must be lying heavier outside town.
Even if you tell kids that they would lose a day off their summer holidays, they don’t care. They would rather have the day off now. The summer’s a long time away.
Stormy Day
They did get one snow day this winter – but that was more because of the storm forecast than the snow.
It proved to be the right thing to do as the roof came off the Home Economics classroom.
It’s supposed to be cold over the next few days and maybe some more snow will fall today to lie on top of the current snow.
Maybe they’ll get a snow day tomorrow,
